About this project
A place for the writing.
Good writing should stay readable.
This is an independent reading archive of Scott Alexander’s essays from Slate Star Codex, Astral Codex Ten, and LessWrong. It keeps a local copy of the text and available images so the writing can be read without depending on the original archive’s servers.
The credit belongs elsewhere.
All writing belongs to Scott Alexander. Every essay links to its original publication. If you enjoy the writing, subscribe to Astral Codex Ten.
The corpus, summaries, tags, and archive concept come from Read Scott Alexander. This project owes its existence to that work. You can support its creator here.
This is an unaffiliated fan archive. It is not an official Scott Alexander website and is not affiliated with Read Scott Alexander.
What is saved here?
The archive contains 2,007 essays and 4,477 downloaded images. Internal links point to local copies when a matching article is available. Missing images are labeled; videos, prediction markets, podcasts, and other interactive media remain external links. We have not archived external websites linked from the essays.
Summaries and tags were supplied by the source archive. They are navigation aids, separate from Scott’s writing. Likes and comment counts are saved snapshots, with no local voting or comments.
A deliberately quiet reading experience.
No accounts, favorites, reading history, or analytics. Browse by blog, year, topic, or reading time, or start with the most liked essays. Full-text and semantic search are planned for a later phase.
This is a snapshot, not an automatically updating feed. For new writing and corrections, follow the original publications.
